Who will be coming into my home to feed my cats?
At the moment it will be just me and you will get to meet me at the meet and greet visit. If anything changes and I need someone else to cover for me in an emergency then you will be notified in advance (people are on standby to cover for this). As I get busier, I may need some extra help but you will always be notified in advance who will be looking after your home and cats and anyone we employ will be DBS checked.
Are you insured?
Yes, we are fully insured and proof is available by clicking here.
How do I know you are reputable?
We have a clear DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate. We are also members of NarpsUK and follow their code of practice.
How do I know my keys will be safe with you?
Having been an estate agent for nearly 20 years I know everything about key security and how to organise a secure key handling system. The keys I hold will never have the address written on the tags and if lost and found they will never be able to be linked to your home. We are also insured for the cost of replacement locks and keys if the keys are ever lost or stolen.
Will you keep me updated on how my cat is while I am away?
We will send you regular updates and photos while you are away unless you do not want us to.
Is there a minimum or maximum time that you can look after my cat for?
No, there is no minimum or maximum time limits. We are happy to just feed your cat for one evening or for several weeks to suit your needs.
How much notice do you need before you can start looking after my cat?
Diary space permitting, we can start as soon as we have access to your home and full payment along with your instructions and all paperwork filled out. Clients who we have worked for before usually leave a set of keys with us at all times to make it easier in the event of emergencies or repeat visits.
What areas do you cover?
At the moment we cover MK40, MK41, MK42, MK43 and MK44. We will consider other areas for an additional charge so get in touch if you are interested. We will hopefully be able to cover more areas in the near future.
How much do you charge?
We charge £25* per day for two daily visits. This is for the MK40, MK41 and MK42 postcode areas. For MK43 and MK44 there is an additional £5* daily charge. If there is more than one cat then there is no additional charge. *Please note that our rates are double on the following dates: Easter Sunday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
When do you require payment?
We require a £25 deposit at the point of booking to hold your dates. This is non-refundable in the event of cancellation but can be transferred to another future booking. We then require the balance of the full payment at least 24 hours before we start.
What payment methods do you accept?
At the moment we accept payment by cash or bank transfer. We hope to be able to take credit and debit cards in the near future.
How long will you spend on each visit?
This is an impossible question to answer as every home is different and every cat is different and has different needs. At some visits we do not see the cats as they are out making the visit quicker and at other visits the cats are in and want a lot of attention.
Do you supply the cat food and cat litter?
We ask you to leave enough of your cat’s regular cat food and cat litter (if required) to last for the length of time that we are looking after your cat for. We will always have food and cat litter on us in case anyone runs out although we cannot guarantee the brand. We will supply the treats (with permission of course)!
Is it just cats you look after?
We specialize in looking after cats as we have had cats in the family for over 40 years so are very experienced in how to look after them and what they require. We will consider looking after other small animals for an additional charge with your instructions if they do not require any special care. Please get in touch and we can discuss this.
Can you give my cat their medication while you visit?
Yes, we can give your cat their medication as long as we have very clear instructions. If it is needed more than twice per day then we can agree additional visits for an extra charge to make sure your cat gets the medication they need at the correct times.
Are you able to take my bin in and out?
Yes, we are happy to do this for no additional charge. Let us know if you require this and the days at the point we take your instructions.
Can you water my plants for me?
Yes, we are happy to do this for no additional charge. Let us know if you require this and what to water and how often at the point we take your instructions.
Why should I use you instead of putting my cat in a cattery while I am away?
There are a few reasons:
Can I not just use an automatic pet feeder while I am away?
Bear these things in mind before choosing this option:
Why not just ask a friend, neighbour or family member to look after my cats while I am away?
While this may seem like a good idea at the time and the most cost-effective option, please consider these points:
If you have any additional questions that have not been answered here then please get in touch or book in a FREE meet and greet visit where you can ask any questions you have.
